The Extend route tool is used to extend routes until they meet a specified limit.
You can choose the Extend route tool by clicking on the Extend route button on the CityCAD Toolbar.
Highlighting
As you move the mouse cursor, elements will be highlighted. When a route is highlighted, you will be able to create an offset copy of it.
Extending a route
Follow these steps:
- After selecting the tool, click on the route you want to use as the limit of extension (the 'limit route').
- Then click on another route to extend.
- As long as it is not parallel to the limit route, it will be extended to meet it.

Hint
If the route you want to extend does not meet the limit route, then it will be extended to the apparent intersection of the routes as shown below.
