The Offset route tool is used to create a copy of a route at a specified distance perpendicular to the original.
You can choose the Offset route tool by clicking on the Offset route button on the CityCAD Toolbar.
Highlighting
As you move the mouse cursor, elements will be highlighted. When a route is highlighted, you will be able to create an offset copy of it.
Creating an offset copy
Follow these steps:
- Click once on the route
- Move the mouse cursor away from the route - you will see a copy of the route move away from the original, and text will display the distance to offset.
- You can either click to place the copy, or type a distance and press enter. The offset copy will be created at the distance you specify.
